Components needed:

  • 5 x plastic caps replacement
  • 1 x plastic blue tip replacement
  • 1 x ceramic tip (including temperature probe)

Part1 – Gun opening

  1. Identify the 5 caps covering the screws and remove them
  2. Remove the blue tip with a screwdriver
  3. Remove the sticker covering the buttons with help of a sharp tool
  4. Remove the 5 screws

  6. Gun is now opened

Part 2 – Screen and electronic board replacement

  1. In the following steps, you will disconnect the cables and connectors attaching the logic board. The cables are for the following components:
    • Temperature probe
    • Product presence sensor
    • Trigger connector
    • LED’s connector
    • Injector connector
    • Power supply connector Please beware of the conector polarity!
    • Base connector pins
    • Resistance tip connector
  2. Remove the logic board and screen to facilitate manipulation in the next steps.

Part 3 – Remove injector

    1. Remove the 2 screws in order to remove the injector
    2. Gently remove the 2 silicone tubes from the vial dispenser
    3. Extract the old ceramic tip from the injector and disconnect resistance tip wires.
    4. The new ceramic tip comes with temperature probe wires. However, you should reconnect the resistance tip wires by following this video.
    5. Add white silicone to attach the resistance tip wires following this video . Important: this silicone should be non-acid type to avoid corrosion.
    6. Gently clean the injector tip to remove any trace of dirt
    7. Add silicone to the injector tip as showed in the image.
    8. Insert the new ceramic tip. Be Careful: do not extract the ceramic tip if the silicone has not solidified. This could clog the outflow hole, thus becoming the injector unusable.
    9. Once the silicone has dried out, replace the injector, reconnect the silicon tubes and replace the 2 injector screws.
    10. Reconnect the Temperature probe wires to the PCB.
    11. Reconnect the Resistance tip connector to the PCB.

Part 3 – Calibration

Equipment needed:
