Coolifting + software update

Coolifting + gun software update

Components needed:

Part1 – Gun opening

  1. Open the Coolifting + case

Part 2 – Driver installation

  1. Install the STLINK-V2 driver in the Windows PC: locate the file dpinst_amd64.exe in the folder STLink drivers and execute it. At the end of the installation, a dialog box like the figure 1 must appear.
  2. Open the command line interpreter (CMD.EXE). Locate the files coolifting3-fw-update.exe and update.bat in the folder Coolifting+ software update files and change the current folder to it.
  3. Connect the STLINK-v2 probe USB cable to the computer. (fig 2)
  4. Extract the display board from its current position like it is shown in the figure 3. Insert carefully the 4 pin connector in the right position (see figure 4). The pin marked with the line is the pin 1, and must be in the position of the square pad. The pins must enter a little into the board programming port. Ensure there is contact for all pins doing some lateral pressure with the fingers.
Put the unit on the base and ensure the charger contacts are in touch with the two contacts from the gun.
  5. Execute the program update.bat from the command line interpreter. At the end of the programming process the message “Done” must appear without any error (see figure 5).
  6. Remove the gun from the base and then the programming cable. Insert the gun in the base to connect again. The logo screen must appear and the gun is ready for operation.
